Kathryn L Maret negotiated a final peace settlement with Our Lord at 5:00 AM on July 1, 2018 in the presence of her family. Kathryn, known to most everyone as Kathy, enjoyed a crazy fulfilling life that included family, friends, quilting and tennis. Kathy was born in Altamont, Missouri on September 7th 1940. She grew up in Maysville Missouri with her mother Coleta B Mayes Kelly, father, Allen S Kelly and sister Sharon. She later graduated from Maysville High School in 1958. Kathy was a loving Mother to Tim & Shannon, Regina & Micheal but her special role was Grandmother to Sydney, Max and Riley. She cherished her time with the families of her niece Kathryn and cousins Cindy, Shelley, Barbara Jo, Linda and many more. After 26 years with the Bayer Corporation and 45 years living in the Northland, Kathy moved to John Knox Village where she enjoyed the retirement life with new friends, activities and a quilt guild that brought her much joy, camaraderie, and artistic inspiration. We will celebrate Kathy's life this Friday July 6, 2018 with a Visitation at The Chapel at John Knox Village located at 400 NW Murray Road Lees Summit, MO 64081 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. A Graveside Ceremony will be held on Saturday July 7, 2018 commencing at 2:00pm at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Maysville, Missouri. All arrangements are managed by Langsford Funeral Home available at 816.524.3700. Flowers are welcome but Kathy would have appreciated you support go to the John Knox Village Quilters. They donate their craft quilts to ambulance districts and child care services to those in need.
