Daphne R. Penechar, 76, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on May 28, 2018 at her home after a long battle with ovarian cancer. A visiation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Daphne was born on May 27, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Paul Penechar
for 47 years. She was an excellent bowler and enjoyed spending time with all her bowling friends. She
was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and a member of Paul Vori’s Bible
Study Class.

Daphne was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Roy Jones; and husband, Paul Penechar.

Daphne is survived by her brother-in-law, Joe Penechar (Mary Francis) of Overland Park, KS; niece, Cathy
Bartholow (Martin) of Olathe, KS and Amy Penechar (Jon) of Salt Lake City, UT; cousins, Bob Morrow
(Fatemah) of Albuquerque, NM and Janice Watkins (Bill) of Eldon, MO; and her faithful cats, Teddy and
Riley.
