He was a journeyman carpenter and longtime member of the Kansas City Carpenters Union. Tom was a perfectionist and took a great deal of pride in his work, but he will be remembered most for his passion to help those in need. His thoughtfulness was unconditional. Tom loved to laugh and have a good time with his friends and family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skydiving, scuba diving and fast cars.
Tom leaves behind his wife Tammy of 26 years, his beloved children Megan and Joshua, his mother Herlynda Young, sister Kelly Stone, nephews Joe Black, Jacob O’Dell and niece Brittany O’Dell. Tom had a huge kind heart and leaves behind many, many friends and family. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Tom would ask that we honor his memory with contributions to the Kansas City Union Mission.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb 17th at 2:30pm at Langsford Funeral Home.
