Linda Diane Painter, 63, of Independence, MO, passed away on May 22, 2018. Visitation will be from 9-11am on Thursday May 31, 2018 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee's Summit, MO. Services will start at 11am with burial to follow at Lee's Summit Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Kansas City Humane Society in Linda’s memory. She had a life-long love of animals and often took in strays.

Linda was born June 11, 1954 in Columbia, MO to Marvin L. and Mary K. Painter. She graduated from East High School in Kansas City, MO in 1972. Diane received an Associate’s Degree is Physical Therapy from CMSU. She loved her career as Senior Administrative Assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank. Some of her favorite past times included gardening, quilting, and painting, Linda Diane and Paul were engaged to be married in June.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Marvin L. Painter, of Columbia, MO and a step-sister Karen L. Calvert. Survivors include her fiancé, Paul M. Venegas, of Independence, MO; mother, Mary Katherine Wisner, of Grain Valley, MO; brother, Dennis R. (Shirley) Painter, of Lee's Summit, MO; sisters, Sharon K. Franklin, of Independence, MO, and Shirley J. Campbell, of Grain Valley, MO; step-sister, Terry K. (Rick) Ball, of Boonville, MO; two nephews; one niece; and many other beloved family and friends.
