Janet S. Long, 63 of Lee’s Summit, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2018. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with funeral following at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be left for House of Hope and Healing, or Kansas City hospice.
Janet was born on February 1st, 1955 in Holden, Mo to Marie and O.D. Braun of Chilhowee. She attended Chilhowee grade school until age 7 when her dad passed away, they then moved to Pleasant Hill. Janet married Steven C. Long on June 15, 1973. They had 3 children Jeremy, Melissa, and Melinda. Janet was a very strong Christian woman, loving and devoted wife, mother, caregiver and teacher to her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents O.D. and Marie, brother Mike, sister Sammie and twin daughter Melinda.
Survivors include her husband Steve, son Jeremy, daughter Melissa, sister Ann, brother-in-law John and wife Tari and many family and friends.
