Betty Kathryn Richards, 96, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on February 14, 2018 at Addington Place. Graveside services will be at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton, MO, 1pm, on February 19, 2018. Memorial contributions may be made to Sweet Springs First Christian Church or Culver-Stockton College. Betty was born on May 8, 1921 in Kahoka, MO to Elmer and Edna Mohr. Betty graduated from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO. She married Harold Richards on August 17, 1941. They had one son, Harold Lynn Richards. Betty devoted 40 years of her life teaching in Monticello, Canton, and Odessa, MO public schools. She was a member of the Sweet Springs First Christian Church. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Richards. Survivors include son, Harold Lynn (Ellen) Richards; grandsons, Scott (Cindy), David (Amy), and Todd (Jennifer) Richards; and eight great-grandchildren.
