Obituary for June Elizabeth Davis (Berry)

June Elizabeth Davis (Berry)
June Elizabeth (Berry) Davis, 69, of Raytown, MO went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ February 13th, 2018, after leading a life devoted to her family, friends and her church. June was born August 4, 1948 to Emmett and Christine Berry of Raytown, MO. She graduated from Raytown South High School in 1966. She enrolled at SWBC (Southwest Baptist College) Bolivar, MO and received her Associates’ Degree in Business Administration. During college she met her husband of 49 years James (Jim) Davis of Camdenton, MO. Of this union, they celebrated three children Jennifer R. (Davis) Gillham, Jason R. Davis and Jeremy R. Davis. June was employed by TWA and Hallmark Cards as an Administrative Assistant. For over 39 years she gave her time and talent to Hallmark Cards and the Hall Family Foundation. June loved to sing, if she was not at work or attending her children’s activities, we could find her in the church choir at Spring Valley Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Raytown or Abundant Life. She loved her five grandchildren; watching them grow and encouraging them to participate in their various activities. She also made sure everyone had enough to eat around the dinner table, as cooking was not only a passion, but a way to serve others. June was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Christine Berry; Morris and Wilma Davis. She is survived by her husband, Jim Davis, daughter Jennifer (Greg) Gillham, sons Jason (Jessica) Davis and Jeremy Davis; grandchildren Ezra and Anna Gillham, Greta, Grady and Walker Davis; along with various aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers/sisters-in-law. Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at Abundant Life Church, 304 SW Persels Rd. Lee’s Summit, MO. at 10:00 visitation, 11:30 service and burial thereafter at Floral Hills Cemetery in Raytown, MO. In lieu of flowers, please find a local Hallmark store, buy a card and send it to someone you love.
