Jerald Monroe  Lee
Jerald Monroe Lee, 75, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri. A visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit. A mass will be at 1:30 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at St. Margaret’s of Scotland Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Memorials and contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice House.
Jerald was born on November 8, 1942 in Cuthand, Texas to Monroe A. and Alli Dee (White) Lee. he served in the US Army from 1961-1963 before marring Nancy S. Gelino on April 27, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri at St. Therese Little Flower Parish. Jerald worked in the grocery industry including Safeway Food chain and Associated Wholesale Grocers until his retirement in June 2006.
Jerald was a member of the Boy Scouts of America Tribe of Micosay, St. Margaret’s of Scotland Parish, and lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and well respected member of his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James A. Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy S. Lee of Lee’s Summit, MO; sons, Timothy A. Lee and wife Cheryl of Grain Valley, MO, Thomas P. Lee and wife Poppy of Kansas City, MO, and Edward B. Lee and wife Joanna of Bellevue, NE; daughters, Christine M. Laster and husband Frank Jr. of Blue Springs, MO and Suzanne M. Brown and husband Steven of Olathe, KS; 16 grandchildren; and sister, Linda Turner of Kansas City, MO.
