Timothy  Olson
Timothy Olson, passed, Sept 19, 2017. Vis 2-3pm Saturday Sept 23, Service, 3pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. He was truly an amazing person and will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

Tim enjoyed hiking, bicycling, indoor rock climbing, and online gaming, but his passion was white water canoeing. He was a skilled paddler, and trained in water rescue. He was a member of the Missouri Whitewater Association.
Tim was exceptionally bright. He consistently was on the Principal's Honor Roll, elementary through high school. He graduated in the top 5% of his class at Lee's Summit High School in 2003.
Tim was also artistically creative, winning multiple honors for his artwork during his schooling years.
Tim attended Herndon Career Center during high school, learning computer programming, and was inducted into the National Vocational-Technical Honor Society. Tim went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO. Tim graduated summa cum laude. He was employed at Garmin International, where he worked as a Senior Software Engineer.
Tim will forever be loved by those he left behind: His parents, Jan and Dan Olson, sister Christy Knox (Ryan), Nephew Jacob Knox (whom he was especially close to), niece Kyrie Knox, maternal grandfather Robert Cole (Sue), paternal grandmother Gerry Conry, aunts and uncles Carol and Ron Duckworth, Steve and Cathy Cole, Sue Slowik, cousins Megan Cole, Monica Murphy, Cory Duckworth (Traci) and their respective children, his girlfriend Emily Briggs, and many friends and coworkers.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved brother Kevin, grandmother Lila Cole grandfather Richard Olson, and grandfather Jack Conry.
