Cindy Diane Dale
Cindy Diane (Dempsey) Dale, 60, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice House surrounded by her loving husband, family, and friends. She exemplified strength and courage beating cancer four times after being first diagnosed in 2000. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Burial will follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery in Lee’s Summit. A visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to a breast cancer research of the donor’s choice or St. Luke’s Hospice House.
Cindy was born on September 17, 1956 to Frank and Jean (Hensley) Dempsey and grew up in Lee’s Summit graduating from there in 1974. She received a Bachelor and Masters degree in social work and went on to help many people through her time as a social worker for 40 years. Cindy was united in marriage to Kim Dale on October 28, 1978.
Cindy enjoyed having fun in the sun. She was a true water bug at heart. Her caring husband, family, grandchildren, and friends, who she loved so very much, each and every one, were the light of her life. She loved helping others her whole life.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, Dennis Dempsey; and father-in-law, Billy Jo Dale.
She is survived by her husband, Kim; daughter, Kara Treadwell (Eddie); son, Elliot Dale (Amanda); grandchildren, Carter, Kimber, and Sydnee; mother-in-law, Carla Dale; sister-in-law, Debbie Dickerson; and many nieces and nephews.
