Joe Evans, 90, Lee's Summit, died on June 2 2017. Born in Linwood, KS on Sept. 3, 1926 to Barney H. and Ruth Jones Evans. Joe served in the U.S. Army in Germany in WWII. He owned a heating and cooling business. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 4 sisters and is survived by sisters Ev Zimmerli and Barbara Blackburn. Also survived by Doreen McCready Evans, wife of over 70 yrs, and son Steve and wife Laurie. He leaves 3 grandsons, great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Rd, Lee's Summit, on Wednesday, June 7. Visitation from 10 - 11 am with funeral mass at 11. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, KC, MO.
