Dorothy Carroll Jones, 87, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on April 1, 2017. She was born January 1, 1930 in Blount County, Alabama. Dorothy transferred with her family to Lee’s Summit Missouri in 1977 from of Atlanta, GA. Widowed in 1998 Carroll was a beloved mother of six children, grandmother of six and great grandmother of 5. Carroll enjoyed her family run business Trandi-Handi Inc for 25 years and later in life joined the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District. She touched the lives of many people including over 100 nieces and nephews and including 57 foster children. Carroll was well loved in her community and will be sorely missed by all. Survivors include Cheryl Wilkins, Shona Shaw-Reinkemeyer, and Aaron Shaw of Lee’s Summit and Susan Christian of Sioux Falls, SD. And many other extended family members.
