Lawrence “Fred” Oakley, 88, of Lee’s Summit, passed away November 12th, 2016. Visitation will be November 22nd, 2016 6-8 pm, Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd St. Lee’s Summit MO 64063. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to KC Hospice. Fred was born June 9th 1928 in Eaton Socon, England. He immigrated to the United States in 1950, followed by his fiancée, Margaret. They were married in KCMO, where they lived for 63 years. He was a proud member of BAC Locals #4 and #15 for over 65 years. Fred enjoyed sports, and loved to fish, watch soccer, and have lunch at Andre’s on the Plaza, where his daughter and granddaughter worked. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge, and daughter, Lynn. Survivors include his sister, Betty Brown; son, Gary (Joni); grandchildren, Brian Hoffmann (Kathie), Jill Hoffmann, David Oakley and Michael Oakley.
