Condolences

Condolence From: Russ Berlin
Condolence: Marvin was a special person and was a role model for the many students he counseled in his distinguished career. One of my favorite memories is the LSHS Orchestra trip to compete in the International music Festival in Vienna Austria. It was a historic trip and Marvin was one of the many parents who made it happen. The two of us also managed to have a few moments together that I will cherish. Rest in peace.

Condolence: I have so many fond memories of Marv as a counselor at Lee's Summit High School. He was always there for the students. He gave his all to help kids, and he will be missed.

Condolence: My Uncle Marvin was as big as life for me as a child. He taught my brother Andy and I how to fish and then years later taught my son Ben as a toddler. Marvin and my Dad Ed, Bets' brother, would make a run when we all got together for a gallon of A&W root beer and their beer. He played Amazing Grace on the dulcimer for us on hot summer nights. Uncle Marv always had a joke and a new story or two for us. I will remember those days forever, especially falling asleep to the train whistles in Saint Clair. Ellen and Chad and families, you had the original, one and only Marvin Lee Kirby. God rest his soul and Uncle Marv, watch for us as we cross over too in the years to come. Nothin' but love.
