He was in the Air Force for 5 years. Joined the Joliet Jaycees, became president, then State Vice President of Ill. Jaycees. He set up the Joliet Penitentiary Work Release Program, where he began working. Then onto the women’s prison in Marion Ill., the US Dept of Justice, and then the KS Department of Corrections. He worked 30 years in the prison system.
A great deal of Fritz’s life was centered in public service. He served 13 years as a Commissioner for the OP Police Dept and taught Criminal Justice at JOCO Community College. He was in the Abdallah Shrine, motor patrol and clown unit. He did hypnotism for smokers in the 80’s, and coached OP basketball for grade and high schools levels.
