Carol Sue York, 74, passed away on April 4, 2016 at the Seasons Care Center in KCMO. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016, 6-8:00pm at Lee's Summit Baptist Temple. Graveside services will be held at the Theodore Ingerson Memorial Cemetery in Mansfield, MO April 9, 2016 at 2pm. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association. Carol was born October 14, 1941 in VanDuser, MO. Carol was a homemaker, active in church and in her faith. She taught Sunday School to children, loved to sing, volunteered at the school where her children attended and loved to crochet and sew. She enjoyed nature walks and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lessie Marshall. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Lewis S. York; her children, Sheryl York of Oakland, California, Deanna (Donald) Rand of Raymore, Mo, Ginger (Jim) Nix of Lee's Summit, MO and Kevin (Shana)York of Lee's Summit, MO; and grandchildren, Readan, Dallas, Makenna, Danny, Jonathan, and Jacob.
