WILLIAM J. VALIS
William “Bill” James Valis Jr., age 56 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away March 20th 2016 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center from complications of Influenza. Memorial service will be at 11:00am on March 26th,2016 at Eagle Creek Church with a visitation at 10:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benefit Account for the Valis Kids at the Adrian Bank in Adrian, MO 816-297-2194. Bill was born November 18th 1959 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was a loving companion to Karen for 8 years. Bill’s passion was his children, Shelby for her intellect and drive to be a successful RN, he was proud of Nathan’s musical talents and Riley’s tender heart. Along with those passions were his love of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas Jayhawks, and the Kansas City Royals. Bill loved his spicy food and cooking for family and friends. One of his latest loves was his rescued dog Roxie. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William “Bill” Valis Sr. and Marjorie Hoffman Valis. Survivors include his life partner of 8 years Karen M. Weldy, his children- Shelby B. Valis, 24, Nathaniel J. Valis, 20, Samantha R. Valis, 17, sister Deborah and Phillip Becker and their children, along with many friends in Kansas City and South Carolina.
