Obituary for Floy Allene Noland

Allene Noland, 95, left this earth Monday evening surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a student of Thomas Hart Benton, while she studied at the Kansas City Art Institute. She enjoyed life-long love of art and music.
Allene was an avid sports fan; enjoying Royals baseball, Chiefs football and both Arizona & UMKC basketball. She loved to travel and had enjoyed her past 20 years with her good friends at John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hycle Noland, both of her brothers, Al and Bill Williams and her sister Mary Moore, son Tom Warlen and great grandson Curtis Gunderson. Survivors include her children, Ron Warlen, Diane (Curtis) Walker, Alichia (Bill) Dwyer, Carleen Jung and Wade (Melody) Noland. She had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even two great great-grandchildren.
At her request, a private interment will be held at Lee’s Summit Cemetery. A celebration of her long life will be held later this year, in May, to allow those family and friends from out of state to gather together. Allene’s gift to her family and friends is a legacy of love, laughter and memories that will last everyone she touched their lifetime.
