Ethel Ormajean Varns, 95, of KCMO passed away on October 23, 2015 at John Knox Village. Visitation will be Wednesday October 28 from 1:45-2pm at Langsford Funeral Home with service to follow at 2pm. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, MO. Orma was born on March 8, 1920 in Johnstown, MO. She married Morris E. Varns on January 25, 1942. One child, Stephen Varns was born on April 17, 1956. She was a homemaker and involved with Special Olympics, Special Neighbors, the ARC, and many other community activities. She is preceded in death by her husband and son. She is survived by her 3 nieces, Sharon Whalen, Vicki Wackerman (Kenny), and Sue Hunt (Kenney); neighbors, Tim and Aggie; and several great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Neighbors.
